Protect your crew. Stop crime before it starts.
Virtual Guard and Virtual Perimeter Guard give your restaurant a live security presence without a guard on site. Interface intervention specialists watch over your store, voice-down on suspicious activity, and work with local law enforcement when seconds matter.
Three steps. One outcome: threats stopped before they escalate.
Virtual Guard and Virtual Perimeter Guard combine autonomous detection with live human intervention. The difference between a camera that records and a service that responds.
Accurate detection
Analytics on your existing cameras flag real threats like loitering, suspicious approach, and after-hours activity, while filtering out noise like pets, shadows, and passing traffic.
Staged autonomous deterrence
Strobes, lights, and escalating voice-down messages move would-be intruders off the property in real time, before they try your doors or your crew.
Human escalation & resolution
When deterrence is not enough, live intervention specialists at the Interactive Security Operations Center (iSOC) take over, coordinating with law enforcement and guiding your crew through the situation.
Stop the situations that cost you staff, sales, and sleep.
Every YUM! restaurant deals with a different mix of risk. Virtual Guard covers the full range.
Break-ins & burglary
After-hours detection and live voice-down stop intruders before they gain entry.
Loitering & panhandling
Move unwanted guests along without putting your crew in the middle of the conversation.
Trespassing & vandalism
Strobes, lights, and voice-down deter graffiti, property damage, and repeat offenders.
Illegal dumping & encampments
Protect your lot, your dumpsters, and your back-of-house from unauthorized activity.

How long does installation take?
Approximately 60 days from receipt of a signed agreement. Restaurants outside the continental U.S. (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories) may require additional time.
How do I activate the Virtual Guard system?
Three ways: (1) pick up the Interface security phone, the preferred method, (2) hold down the panic button typically located under the register, or (3) press both buttons on the wearable pendant.
How do I know the system is working? Can I test it?
Yes. Always notify the Interactive Security Operations Center (iSOC) before testing so the team can distinguish between tests and live activations. Once notified, an intervention specialist will walk you through the test.
When should I press the button?
Any time you feel threatened or need urgent security assistance.
Do I need to start the conversation with the intervention specialist?
No. The intervention specialist listens, assesses the situation, and initiates the conversation with you.
What if my crew can't safely reach the button?
Only activate the system if it's safe to do so. Never make sudden movements toward a button. You can also activate after the suspect leaves the store.
Does Interface listen to store phone calls or everyday conversations?
No. Interface only listens in when a button has been pressed or during a scheduled, announced security tour (typically twice per day).
Does this replace calling 911?
No. Virtual Guard is not a replacement for 911. If an intervention specialist determines authorities are needed, they will contact 911, but always follow your restaurant's normal safety protocols first.
How quickly will a specialist start monitoring after activation?
After receiving the signal, the intervention specialist will look, listen, and assess before issuing a voice-down. This process may take up to two minutes, with crew safety as the priority.
